Marsh Town Stompers, The's Bio

The Marsh Town Stompers were founded in 2004 in Marston (Marsh Town) Oxford, and play a heady mix of English, Scottish and European dance tunes complimented by some stomping foot percussion.

Between them they play a variety of instruments including violin, bouzouki, bassoon, clarinet, descant recorder, accordion and more! Each individual member has a wealth of performing experience. The Marsh Town Stompers perform regularly at weddings, private functions, corporate events and are the resident celidih band for Linacre College Oxford where they strut their student stuff from dusk till dawn! A mighty mixture of traditional English, Celtic and European tunes for ceilidh dancing…

Delivered with an electric punch and a modern edge, The Marsh Town Stompers are just the job for your hotel or church reception, bean feast, barn dance or private shindig.
