Too Darn Hot's Bio

Too Darn Hot play a spicy blend of music – from the Gypsy Kings to The Beatles, consisting of popular Latin, party music from the 50s to the 90s and some contemporary songs; a winning combination to suit any occasion.

Whether it’s the exciting five-piece dance band you require, encouraging audience participation with maracas and a limbo pole, or the simplicity of the Too Darn Hot trio, comprising vocals, jazz guitar, double bass and conga drums, playing light dinner and cocktail music for that smaller function – Too Darn Hot can cover the lot!

Over the last 10 years, the band has played worldwide and supported acts such as The Jools Holland Big Band, Leo Sayer and Abba Gold and has worked for TV personalities and stars such as Des Lynam, Clive Anderson, Joan Collins, Sting, Jimmy Nail and Greta Scaatchi, to name but a few!

Some memorable engagements to date have been entertaining Prince Charles at a film premiere at the Odeon, Leicester Square, meeting Prince Edward and playing at his charity bash at Hyde Park, taking part in a live broadcast on Gloria Hunniford’s Radio 2 show, playing at the ITV Sports Cup Final celebrity lunch at Wembley and entertaining cast members of Coronation Street at a lavish wedding reception in Cheshire, covered by OK Magazine.

To cap it all, Too Darn Hot have also been recommended by Tatler’s ‘Veuve Cliquot Handbook to the Season’ as one of the top 10 bands around!
