As we announced earlier in the year, our friend and colleague Kuljit Bhamra was recognised with an MBE for services to Bhangra and British Asian music in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.

He went to Windsor Castle on 1 December to receive his award and was delighted to learn that Her Majesty had seen and remembered his performance as the on-stage percussionist in Bombay Dreams. He has just sent us the above picture which was taken on the day. Definitely one for the family album!

Once again we extend our congratulations to Kuljit. His work is brilliant and groundbreaking and we are delighted that he has been recognised in this way.
