Emma (Soprano)
Acclaimed soprano, Emma performs regularly with leading opera companies – The Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Opera North, English Touring Opera and Garsington Opera. Her training took place on the opera course at The Royal Academy of Music and her first professional appearance was the role of Ankarrette in the world permiere of Nicola LeFanu’s opera, The Wildman, with the Britten Sinfonia at the Aldeburgh Festival.

Acclaimed soprano, Emma performs regularly with leading opera companies – The Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Opera North, English Touring Opera and Garsington Opera. Her training took place on the opera course at The Royal Academy of Music and her first professional appearance was the role of Ankarrette in the world permiere of Nicola LeFanu’s opera, The Wildman, with the Britten Sinfonia at the Aldeburgh Festival.
Emma has performed as soloist with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at the Three Choirs Festival in Worcester Cathedral, with the European Chamber Orchestra and Crispian Steele-Perkins (trumpet) and she has also given solo concerts at Coventry Cathedral, Chester Cathedral, Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. She has also performed solo recitals aboard the QE2.
As a recitalist, she has performed a wide range of works in many musical styles including at the Buxton and St Endellion Festivals and for Cunard Liners on the QE2. She is also a member of London Voices, with whom she recently sang in the premiere of a new work by John Adams in Paris and Berlin.
As a session singer, Emma’s film soundtrack credits include the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Harry Potter and Star Wars films. She recently released a CD entitled ‘Grace’ and features on the CD ‘Hooked on Classics’ with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
As well as her platform appearances, Emma is involved in community and education workshops, most recently with Opera North.
