Jonjan's Bio
Described as ‘James Brown meets Rodrigo y Gabriela’, Jonjan combines the athletic skill of passionate Flamenco with highly dynamic Funk playing – pushing an audience’s expectation of what a solo guitar can do in the right hands.
Born in Istanbul with British/Turkish heritage, Jonjan has performed for Apple, the BBC, Google, Yamaha, George Benson and in Jimi Hendrix’s former apartment to name some highlights internationally, in locations from luxury hotels in India, medieval castles in the Italian Dolomites, and eclectic visual design studios in Miami.
His debut solo album ‘Strings Attached’ mastered at Abbey Road and released in November 2023, featuring tracks composed and performed by himself in a major aerial acrobatics circus production choreographed to his music taking place across the heights of London’s Liverpool St Broadway Circle rooftops in the same year.
Jonjan is a master of his craft and a whirlwind of Latin-infused acoustic-percussive energy in action that leaves audiences captivated, amazed or inspired in any setting he performs within.
