Sisa Senkosi is a Maskandi musician, which is one of the oldest genres from Zimbabwe/South Africa.
Sisa Senkosi grew up on the dusty streets of Magwegwe where she started to perform from an early age and is currently based in Bristol in the UK.
She has since performed at the National Arts And Merit Awards (Zimbabwe), Glastonbury, Womad, Llangollen and other international festivals. She has shared the stage with many artists from Africa in the UK. Also a lot of private functions like weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, corporate events etc in the UK, Jersey, Isle of white France, Malta and Norway.
Sisa recorded her album Thandolwethu (Our Love) in South Africa in August 2016, where she collaborated with some of the great Maskandi artists from South Africa and Zimbabwe. Maskandi is one of the oldest traditional music genres in southern Africa.
Her ambition is to share her heritage and culture with the world.
Sisa offers many performance options, you can book her solo for workshops, with an acappela group, with two dancers and backing tracks, or with a three piece band.
